Honestly, I loved the last book so much more than the first 2. Obviously, the first book has that, "Vampire Romance" trope to it which made it difficult to appreciate the lore to start but it was definitely very good at roping you in. Book 2 was amazing with lore and getting you invested in the vampire's cause and everything.
